Ginger Snaps

I am quite excited to be starting my own blog, and to have Gianni Milan be my first feature. Yesterday we had our very first shoot, and I’m sure it will not be our last. We arrived at the beautiful Agnes Scott College campus, located in Downtown Decatur, GA and found a very peaceful spot to set up. As all photographers know, shooting at 12:30 p.m. is not the best, however, we proceeded anyway and decided to make it work. We managed to push through the lovely Georgia heat with some mild breeze and lots of shade. Gianni Milan’s mom was an absolute peach with the silly faces, songs, high pitched voices, and back stage impromptu dances in an attempt to bring a smile to her gorgeous and sweet face. Ginger, as she is fondly called, was not in the least bit interested in what either of us had to offer, frankly I think she was rather upset with the heat! and rightfully so. It was very hot! I decided to do some exploring and stumbled upon open doors to a lovely Chapel, which happened to be empty, perfect! At first I felt a bit nervous, but with the AC and being reminded that Children are the purest and closest to God, we made it happen. I got some beautiful and authentic shots, and sweet Ginger was very happy! Thank you to Ginger for being such baby trooper, and thank you to Sorayya for allowing me to capture her beautiful daughter.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.
